We notice a lot of Kansas City denizens opposed to the war in Iran, in doubt of the ceasefire and seemingly open to socialist messaging that doesn't play in any other part of the Midwest beyond a few college town vegan restaurants.

Organizers described it as an “emergency protest,” pointing to recent rhetoric from the president and growing concerns about escalation.
Several groups helped organize the event, including Boots on the Ground Midwest, Physicians for Social Responsibility and Veterans for Peace.
Mitch Schiller, a member of the Party for Socialism and Liberation, said the issue goes beyond foreign policy.
“That $1.5 trillion they want to spend on the military next year. That’s our health care. That’s our education,” Schiller said. “So it really does matter.”
