The Independence City Council voted on Wednesday, April 8, to approve Ordinance 26-020, introduced by Mayor Rowland.
The measure bans the sale of 7-hydroxymitragynine - commonly known as 7-OH - and restricts the sale of all kratom products to customers 21 and older.
