The union members said they are demanding a contract that includes a raise and an end to excessive and forced overtime. The workers said the overtime demands cut into their work-life balance and is hard on family life.

“Our members showed up before sunrise because they are committed—not just to this fight, but to the vital work they do every day,” Scott Brown, IAM Local 778 Directing Business Representative, said in the statement.
