On Sunday Kansas City endured what was the most violent day so far in 2026.
Two teens were killed in separate shootings.
And then . . .
The evening concluded with deadly gunfire for the third time in less than 24 hours.

By now, all of our readers understand that KCMO has suffered record-breaking violence under the tenure of Mayor Q and nearly all of the most deadly years in local history have occurred under his watch.
And so . . .
Whilst the national trends might be worth noticing . . . Locally, it's clear the Mayor still has a great deal of work to do addressing cowtown violence.
