Forgive the ethnography but we're returning the favor given that so many people have completely misinformed opinions about what Latinos think . . .
There's actually two things worth pointing out on main . . .
We're pretty sure the Insta-Account "Chipotle On Main" is a VisitKC psy-op that's intended to bully any local biz that doesn't cooperate with their agenda. To be fair, the "joke account" that has a respectable hit rate of about 1 in 5 and does a decent job of pretending to be a frustrated midtown KC server & not an AI-joke machine or some poor soul at a call center in Mumbai.
Also . . .
Given our thesis . . . The trend follows the hipster imperative that hopes to take all of the Italians out of the biz of local Italian food and supplant them with white ladies and soy boys.
For those of us trying to avoid carbs . . . This isn't a big loss either way.
And so here's a respectable attempt at the local funny . . .
"I am simply shocked the old Italian guy who makes dense-ass underseasoned meatballs has some problematic views."
