Kansas City Royals New Stadium At Hallmark HQ Coming Soon?!?

And so, today cowtown denizens garnered their first glimpse at the scheme to deploy local history and good vibes into BILLIONS worth of taxpayer subsidized  corporate welfare. 

We imagine it'll start out something like this . . .  

We stopped watching the presser after they ACTUALLY announced the location . . . 

However, we'll stipulate that Hallmark HQ is apt to tear down given that the greeting card biz is dead and the fading company is basically a movie studio that specializing in campy schlock . . . 

And so we ask . . .

SHOULD THE NEW PLAN FROM THE ROYALS & HALLMARK INSPIRE KANSAS CITY TO OPEN ITS WALLET?!? 

 Despite all of the congratulatory conversation . . . This thing is very far from a done deal . . . Check-it . . . 

The Royals announced a “world-class ballpark, surrounding mixed-use development and reimagined headquarters for both iconic institutions at Crown Center would create more than 20,000 jobs in the construction phase alone.”

The Royals, along with Hallmark Cards, stated the 85-acre development surrounding a park-like central square with fountains will have “little if any precedent worldwide for a professional sports project, and the expected private investment of $2 billion or more would be the largest in Kansas City history.”
