"The city announced on Tuesday that the council approved an ordinance that requires retailers to have a special license before selling kratom. Leaders say the move is aimed at strengthening oversight and protecting public health.
"Under the new policy, any business selling kratom must apply for a Kratom Retail License and pay a $500 fee before products can be offered to customers."
