The council approved Ordinance 260-296, lifting a long-standing ban on pedicabs in the shopping district. The measure also directs the city manager to work with the Plaza District Council to establish designated pick-up and drop-off zones.
Visitors said the timing is good with the FIFA World Cup coming to Kansas City this summer.
