Homicide 107th & Marsh
This morning just before 1:45AM, officers were dispatched to the area of E 107th and Marsh Ave on a reported incident with KCFD.
When officers arrived, they were summoned to 108th St. and Marsh Avenue where an adult male victim was located on a sidewalk unresponsive and suffering from believed gunshot trauma. Officers checked for any signs of life and attempted medical intervention until EMS responded and declared the victim deceased.
There is not currently any preliminary information available to indicate what occurred prior to the shooting. A person of interest has not yet been identified and there is not anyone in police custody.
Homicide detectives and crime scene personnel have responded to the scene to begin collecting any evidence and gathering witness statements. This incident is being investigated as a homicide and is ongoing at this time.
If anyone was in the area and heard or saw anything or has any information they are asked to contact Homicide detectives directly at 816-234-5043 or the TIPS Hotline anonymously at 816-474-TIPS. There is a reward of up to $25,000 for information submitted anonymously to the TIPS hotline.
