Where to begin with this unconstitutional codswallop?
First, since when are ICE agents first responders?
Are they referring to law enforcement officials who respond to blatantly unconstitutional orders to arrest people without due process? Do they mean law enforcement officials who meet peaceful demonstrations with violent provocations? Are they talking about law enforcement officials who barge into people’s homes without a judicial warrant?
Those kinds of responders?
Indiana enacted a similar law in 2023. The Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press and other media organizations challenged it, and a federal judge blocked it. On appeal, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals last year upheld the judge’s ruling, finding that the Indiana law impermissibly encouraged “arbitrary and discriminatory enforcement” and was therefore void for vagueness.
