Earlier this week, reports came out that FIFA is banning tailgating before World Cup matches at major U.S. stadiums. A big, and missed, opportunity to show off what Kansas City does best, according to one Kansas City resident.
“FIFA does not have a formal policy that restricts tailgating. However, site-specific restrictions may be imposed in alignment with host city public safety authorities in certain venues based on local regulations.”
Out of the 25,000 parking spaces at the Truman Sports Complex, there could be less than 2,000 available on match day. According to KC2026, that’s because “a substantial number of stadium parking spaces will be used for event programming.”
