MAYOR Q ADMITS THE COSTCO CRISIS IS A BIGGER DEAL TO MIDTOWNERS THAN ALL THINGS POLITICAL!!!
Sadly, both Mayor & Council seems unable to garner any progress on the issue . . . Check-it:
Mayor Quinton Lucas said the store could eventually be converted into a Costco Business Center, a shift that would focus more on bulk supplies for businesses and less on everyday grocery and household items.
Lucas said he has not been given a concrete timeline for when that change might happen.
Now, many say the uncertainty has them concerned.
“I had somebody tell me the other day, Costco is my Arrowhead Stadium,” Lucas said. “Like you could talk about other things, teams? Facility? This is the biggest thing for me.”
That “biggest thing” is the Midtown location, which some residents say fills a critical need.
For some, the store offers more than just groceries . . .
