DeValkenaere Fam Stands With Willett To Start Congressional Run

An important update for how the early stages of the Missouri 6th District contest is going . . .

KCMO Councilman Nathan Willett recently shared a social media message of support from a formerly embattled Kansas City police family.

Kansas City Councilman Nathan Willett was a member of the group of family and friends of former KCPD Detective Eric DeValkenaere who advocated for his release following his conviction. The family successfully submitted a clemency petition to then-Missouri Governor Mike Parson’s office, during which they encouraged associates to provide formal letters of support.

And now . . .

Hinting at what might be future police & law enforcement support, here's a recent post where the council dude references the struggles of the DeValkenere fam and their support for him in return . . .

"I appreciate my dear friends & their support in my race to represent the people of North Missouri. When culture wars attack your neighbor’s character - you step up and have their backs. Just like when the river rises and floods our towns - the compassion for our neighbors rises even higher."
