Here's more reporting . . .
"Gas prices jumped 10 cents a gallon overnight in Kansas City, Missouri, reaching the highest levels in nearly four years, according to AAA.
"The price increases are largely due to the ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz amid the war in Iran. Brent crude rose to more than $116 (to $120) a barrel in early morning trading, and those costs are getting passed down to consumers.
"Prices across the metro have spiked, with some gas stations on the Kansas side reaching $3.99 a gallon. In Missouri, prices stood at $3.79 a gallon at locations in Raytown and Kansas City."
