We're Headed For Jackson County Exec Democratic Primary Slap Fight

A dude from the suburbs likely never looked at how few of his neighbors actually vote in local elections. 

But, we won't mock his ambition . . . And so we share this peek at bad vibes for November or at least a lot of down ballot antipathy . . . Take a peek: 

"Lee’s Summit Mayor Bill Baird announced Monday he is launching a campaign to become the next Jackson County executive.

"Baird, a Democrat, has served as the mayor of Lee’s Summit since 2018.

"His announcement stated he is running for county executive with the intent of 'restoring trust in government, ensuring transparency and accountability, investing in infrastructure, supporting public safety, and driving sustainable economic growth that benefits all residents.' "
