In Kansas City, a ton of "No Kings" activists converged on the Country Club Plaza in unison with protesters across the metro, the nation and the world.
Sadly, we don't think any of them made a purchase of even a cup of coffee given so many empty storefronts in this entertainment district. But I digress . . .
The main question . . .
WHAT WILL THIS EPIC KANSAS CITY PROTEST ACCOMPLISH?!?
Again, in "Red State" Missouri and Kansas progressive voters should understand that they're confronting Republican super-majorities with not real opposition at the state level . . .
To be fair, Democratic Party trends have flipped the biggest population center in Kansas and Johnson County is now decidedly a "blue" district.
But again . . . In terms of policy goals . . . We're not sure about the driving aim of today's protest given that Democratic Party leaders are also divided on Iran conflict, immigration/mass deportation and solutions to the "affordability" crisis . . .
But I'm sure someone will wake us when progressives get everything solved.
