The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control (DDCC) has announced the arrest of a suspect following an armed robbery at the Isle of Capri Casino in Boonville, Missouri.
According to the Patrol, just after 2:13 p.m., two individuals entered the Isle of Capri Casino dressed in black and wearing face masks, hats, and sunglasses. Investigators say one suspect was armed with a rifle and the other with a handgun. The pair went directly to the casino’s bank area and stole approximately $1,276,000.
While fleeing the casino floor, a patron tackled the suspect carrying the rifle, leading to a physical struggle. The second suspect allegedly struck the patron multiple times, allowing both suspects to escape the property.
During the investigation, troopers secured evidence, interviewed witnesses, and developed multiple leads. An employee of the casino, was later identified as a suspect after investigators established probable cause.
