We hate to be skeptical because in our hearts . . . We want to watch Mahomes come back and triumph.
The cruel reality:
Competitive athletes are NEVER the same after tearing ACL if they're over 30.
However . . .
There's nothing that says he can't excel as a different kind of quarterback who isn't so reliant on scrambling and running. Patrick Mahomes has already shown he has the mental toughness to lead his team to historic heights . . . And so utilizing his skills a passer and play caller could unlock a whole new level of greatness.
Meanwhile . . . This report is mostly hype and it deserves skepticism . . .
Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer reports that Mahomes is already way ahead of schedule — and perhaps could be ready for the start of the season.
“His pain threshold is different, his work ethic is different,” Glazer said on the “Dan Patrick Show.”
