Low-Turnout Fight: Conservatives Condemn 'Regressive' Kansas City E-Tax

From our favorite Irish policy expert . . . Here's a traditional plea for financial reason in an upcoming low-turnout election that usually results in double digit victories because most locals view it as a tax on JoCo neighbors doing biz inside the KC proper . . . Check-it:

"The earnings tax is regressive: It taxes wages while excluding investment income, hitting workers harder than the wealthy. It also sustains a subsidy culture that diverts public dollars to favored projects while insulating the city from confronting difficult spending choices."
