Republican State Senator Mike Thompson knew that getting this bill changed in the House committee probably wasn’t going to happen. He doesn’t support the way it reads now, saying that the state “gave away the moon” in December. That was when the team announced they were coming to Kansas with a Sales Tax and Revenue or STAR Bond package that was agreed to with the Kansas Department of Commerce.
