Kansas Senator Marshall Flip-Flips On MAGA Iran Winning?!?!

Actually . . . He's just struggling to keep up with contradictory statements from the White House.

The main point . . .

Conflict against Iran was supposedly won last year. But if that was true, then many justifications for current military intervention don't make sense.

Moreover . . .

Already some U.S. officials are declaring victory ahead of what might be ground troops and Marines moving in . . .

Here's the word:

Sen. Roger Marshall (R-Kan.) on Tuesday said he “was wrong” about past comments he made suggesting that it would take Iran years before it could restart its nuclear program, prior to the initial U.S.-Israeli strikes that hit the country late last month.

CNN’s Kaitlan Collins played a clip of his remark and then asked the senator if he saw “intelligence that changed your mind now, on that.”

Look, I was wrong,” the Kansas Republican told “The Source” host. “They were restarting their nuclear program. That’s what — that’s the reports out of the White House that they were actually starting their nuclear program.”

Collins pressed Marshall on the issue, referring to the U.S. military’s attacks on three nuclear facilities near Tehran last June. President Trump at the time said the sites were “obliterated.”

“I believe that we obliterated those particular nuclear facilities, but now they were starting nuclear programs in other places, he replied. “And just their willingness to do that was just thumbing their nose at us.”
