Kansas Nanny State Soon Demands ID For Mobile Phone Apps?!?

Proving that politicos need tech training and just a modicum of concern for privacy and basic human liberty . . . 

SHAME ON KANSAS NANNY STATE POLITICOS FOR PUSHING ID FOR BASIC MOBILE PHONE USE!!! SHOULD USERS REALLY HAVE TO PRESENT ID IN ORDER TO READ THE NEWS OR GET DIRECTIONS?!? 

The punchline is that most phones are nothing more than digital tracking devices anyhoo . . . But the nanny state flex makes it just a bit more obvious and repressive . . . Here's the plan:  

"Supporters of the bill say this legislation will protect children in an increasingly digital world. Lawsuits are popping up as AI chatbot apps show children sexually explicit images and parents struggle to keep up with the constant bombardment of apps to verify.

"The Kansas bill mirrors legislation in Texas and Alabama. Similar bills are being struck down in court, though. 

"A federal judge shot down the Texas bill, saying parts of it were unconstitutionally vague and overly broad."

Kansas lawmakers want to require age verification on all phone application downloads

The legislation passed the Senate 34-6. It would require adults and children alike to confirm their ages before downloading apps from platforms such as Google or Apple.
