Kansas City 'Streetcar Takes' Smells Like Local Government Sponsored Propaganda

Even better/worse than pay-for-play municipal hype slop . . . We question tax-funded promotional online clips using old school tactics that don't really seem to speak to the NextGen. 

The in-person hipster conversation format is right out of the much more groundbreaking "Humans of New York" that hit its pinnacle before the covid era when everybody gave up on real world interaction and adopted social media algorithms as their best friend.

Also . . .

Following the expansion of the streetcar . . . There's really much more interesting aspects of the train to cover. 

For instance, locals might be more interested in the INEVITABLE SPIKE IN CRIME THAT'S COMING TO THIS EMBATTLED TOY TRAIN MIDTOWN TRANSIT rather than pudgy millennials trying to remain cheeky & clever as they move past 40.  

Still . . . We appreciate recent reporting from The Pitch if only because the clever verbiage deployed in order to dance around the obvious sponsored content angle that would inspire most watchers to tune out.

Check-it . . .  

The cast of characters expands well beyond the commuters to include the KC Streetcar, the filming location itself. As director of photography, Sam Sullivan navigates the audio, lighting, and interruption challenges of filming on public transportation, and the liveliness becomes as much a part of the production’s charm.
