"On February 12, 2026, a community engagement session was held where the idea of a “Know Your Rights” campaign was discussed.

"Within 48 hours of that meeting, Sheriff’s Office team members began distributing red cards. These cards provide examples of how individuals may choose to exercise their constitutional rights. They are intended for informational purposes only and do not provide legal advice.

"Since mid-February, I have distributed over 500 cards throughout the community. Today, I spent several hours in the Northeast area and near a business in Blue Summit continuing this effort."
