After local news FINALLY got a old of rumors of a fed investigation, there was a curious rhetorical development that nobody noticed . . .
With the help of the Kansas City Star, the rumors, speculation and questions were tacitly redirected toward the Mayor's office. The political spin was subtle for casual news watchers but it still resonates amongst the political elite given that NOBODY can really know for sure what the feds are working on until public dox & pressers are shared . . .
Accordingly . . .
We share the bit of newspaper "reporting" that reads more like public relations for our increasingly unpopular municipal politicos . . . Check-it:
"One focus of the probe centered on Mayor pro tem Ryana Parks-Shaw and her husband, Michael Shaw, the city’s director of public works, the sources said. That element of the investigation was the focus of last week’s TV report, which tied the inquiry to whether the couple used their authority for financial and professional gain.
"But the sources who spoke with The Star also detailed a host of other questions from the FBI, a sign that the exact target of the investigation is unclear."
