Economic Pressure Concerns Kansas City Leaders Amid E-Tax Vote

We filed this same note a few weeks ago but the prog blog version has better punctuation, fewer typos and exactly the same sentiments we reported at the outset of the year . . . 

The basics:

Economic harsh times could work against the traditional endorsement of the Kansas City E-Tax.

What this report doesn't note is that early polling has been tepid for more taxes imposed on broke-ass residents.  

Here's the word . . . 

Question 1 will renew the e-tax at its current one percent rate. There is no realistic path to replacing what we lose if the e-tax is not renewed. Without it, we face first responder layoffs, longer emergency response times, and more cuts to city services.

Protect funding for first responders, road repair, and more. Protect Kansas City. By April 7, Vote Yes on Question 1.
