Council Dude Bunch Bests Nathan Willett On All-Gender Restrooms At KCI

Today's toilet victory . . . Despite a great deal of conservative outrage across the nation and a great deal of local support . . . The All-Gender toilet question has been delayed for the moment.

Here's a quick recap . . .

"Councilman Nathan Willett tried to move the ordinance through quickly Thursday as a reaction to what he sees as a safety issue, bypassing traditional committees. It led to an hour closed door discussion before they emerged to possibly discuss the issue.

"But then no one seconded the ordinance and the meeting adjourned. Council member disagree what that means for possible changes to airport bathrooms going forward. "

The retort . . .

“None of my colleagues provided a second to the motion to adopt this resolution and I think that reflects the fact that all-gender restrooms are something that we value for a variety of reasons. To choose to turn this into a crusade against all-gender restroomn and by proxy transgender rights is misguided. What we need to address the issue right now is a person violated people’s privacy and broke the law and they are being prosecuted,” Councilman Eric Bunch said.
