Congressmen Cleaver Stays Losing Redistricting Fight

A court ruling today offers another setback for Congressman Cleaver . . . Here are the basics: 

"Missouri's high court affirmed Cole County Circuit Judge Christopher Limbaugh's December ruling that found the Missouri General Assembly acted within its constitutional authority in its mid-decade redistricting effort, which was backed by President Donald Trump . . . In a 4-3 decision written by Judge Zel M. Fischer, the Supreme Court affirmed that the state constitution's plain language does not expressly prohibit the legislature's authority to redraw congressional districts more than one time per decade."
