Congressman Graves Picking Successor Whilst Willett Wavers?!?

From one of the smartest people we know . . . Here's a bit of context as to how congressional opt/outs are typically arranged . . . 

Montana Rep. Steve Daines’ decision to withdraw promptly before the filling deadline appears to have been intended to dissuade anyone — except his chosen successor, Montana U.S. Attorney Kurt Alme — from joining the race. 

And now here's the word . . . 

"The rumor is that Graves stays in until Jeff Roe can find someone acceptable."

A rising star KCMO Council dude seems to be more focused on his State Senate run and the impending fight against KCI all-gender restrooms . . .  

Nathan Willett is being asked whether he’d consider running in Missouri’s 6th Congressional District. Republican Sam Graves has been in that seat for 25 years and has filed to run for reelection. 

“Currently, Congressman Graves has filed for the 6th Congressional District,” Willett said on Monday. “He’s been a very good mentor of mine, a good friend and a good person to represent the people of north Missouri.”
