"Jackson County Prosecutor Melesa Johnson announced on Monday, March 16, that Christian Shirley, 17, of Blue Springs, faces first-degree assault and burglary charges.
"Johnson noted that the charges follow a Sept. 29, 2025, attack. A Family Court judge certified Shirley on Monday to stand trial as an adult. "
