Report: KCPD Shoot Female Getaway Driver During South Side Robbery

Aftermath of a Blue Ridge Blvd robbery wherein the victim of gunfire has already been released from the hospital after a tense interaction . . . Check-it: 

"MSHP said KCPD officers responded to reports of a burglary at 9500 Blue Ridge Blvd just before 2:20 a.m.

"The report was for multiple suspects breaking into a building and storage container.

"When officers got to the scene, they found three people. All three ran away. MSHP said two tried to get into a car. MSHP said an altercation occurred at the vehicle while trying to take the two suspects into custody.

"The altercation led to one officer shooting their gun. The female driver of the car was hit and taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries."
