Tragically . . .
Chasing trans people out of Kansas is a feature & not a glitch of this legislation.
Fact is . . . It's a still a free country and even the most conservative voters don't hold any ill will toward their neighbors no matter their political differences.
Even better . . . Again, we can't emphasize this enough:
Politicos from BOTH SIDES would rather talk about trans issues than the very real American affordability crisis, U.S. debt and macroeconomic structural problems throughout the Western world.
But . . .
Here's a bit of flag waving so we don't veer off-topic and confuse the base electorate who NEVER win elections for either side . . .
"Senate Bill 244, which Republican supermajorities in the Kansas Legislature voted last week to enact into law, overriding Gov. Laura Kelly’s veto, went into effect this week, prompting the national political action committee Trans Liberty PAC to issue a formal evacuation alert for transgender residents of Kansas.
"It’s the first time a political organization has called on an entire state’s trans population to leave for their safety. But it’s not a first that Kansas should be proud of."

A political action committee that supports transgender rights is warning that the state is hostile. From Mará Rose Williams:
Overland Park police won't 'conduct an enforcement campaign' for new trans ID law
The new Kansas law deems roughly 1,800 transgender residents' ID documents invalid.

Trans men file lawsuit over Kansas law that restricts bathroom use and invalidates driver's licenses * Kansas Reflector
Two transgender men from Lawrence are suing the state over a new law that invalidates driver's licenses and restricts bathroom use based on sex assigned at birth, citing numerous constitutional rights and fear of violence.
Fun fact about our AI photo retouch . . . For those who might not know, the image is called Liberty Leading the People (La Liberté guidant le peuple), created by Eugène Delacroix in 1830. It commemorates the July Revolution of 1830 in Paris and features a woman symbolizing Liberty . . . We always admired the iconic art as a high school student if only because it perfectly depicts the female form going "guns blazing" amid political strife and the historic significance of the paining outweighed the prudishness of Catholic high school teachers.
But I digress . . .
