KC Water Sinking Westport

For anyone who has been to this part of Midtown recently . . .

THIS IS THE MOST HORRIFIC PLANNING OF ANY LOCAL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT WE'VE EVER WITNESSED, IT'S AS IF KCMO IS LITERALLY ATTEMPTING TO SHUT DOWN WESTPORT!!! 

As always . . .

It's hard to tell if this KCMO work is a sign of outright incompetence or really just a vindictive ploy. For local biz and customers, it really doesn't make a difference and the hassle is the same either way. 

Every denizen of this community is well withing their rights to send more than a few "irrationally exuberant" words to 12th & Oak on the topic.  

Here's a more measured reporting . . . 

"KC Water began the Westport Stormwater Improvement Project in January of this year to combat flash floods that have regularly put sidewalks and parking lots in Westport under water. They know the flood mitigation is needed but it makes daily life difficult for people who work, shop and eat in the area."
