Kansas City 'Trans Joy' Challenges Missouri Congressional Redistricting

Moments ago we stumbled upon a nice hipster political screed that offers fascinating emotional testimony regarding a divisive political issue that already confronts a formidable petition challenge.

The reactionary hack move is to up the outrage, ridicule and anger against this kind of rhetoric and unintentionally sway independent voters in the opposite direction.

Instead . . .

Taking a moment to understand how political activists tug on the heartstrings of potential supporters is probably more useful than a reactionary take . . . And so we share this note that's clandestinely geared toward political persuasion with an open mind . . .

"In early September 2025, Missouri Republicans advanced a redistricting plan that would split Kansas City into three separate congressional districts.

"The plan threatens to divide Black, immigrant, and LGBTQ+ communities, voters who currently stand together in Missouri’s 5th District. The Missouri NAACP called the proposal unconstitutional and filed suit within days, warning that it was created to push communities of color out of political power. This is not just a political move. It is an attack on voice, belonging, and visibility.

"And still, we move . . . "

Context . . .

Actually, this week there has already been a setback against NAACP legal action when a judge ruled that Guv Kehoe has the authority to call a special session for redistricting.
