Kansas City Scribe Chides Republicans Over Epstein Crisis

Tonight we take a moment to consider what the cowtown intelligentsia believes about the fate of Republican leadership and President Trump. 

Sorry . . . 

But TKC will never give up on our affinity for deadpan, cringe humor that takes just a tad more effort than our typical scatological drollery or venereal musings.  

To wit . . . 

KANSAS CITY'S TOP JOURNALISTS PREDICT IMPENDING DEMISE OF MAGA!!!

For those keeping track, this isn't the first time we've heard an impassioned call to action since 2016, but during the current "ICE AGE" we notice that MAGA "resistance" might be worth considering given that more Americans are concerned with paying grocery bills and rent rather than sustaining the progressive, political comedy of manners regarding feigned concern for trans people or Latino youngsters.   

As always, forgive TKC's crippling skepticism, here's a more "hopeful" note about upcoming MAGA destruction from longtime local newsman Dan Margolies . . .  

"He’s a stone cold loser, and at some primordial molecular level he knows it. The only way he and the neo-fascist party now in his thrall aren’t wiped out in the midterms is if we allow ourselves to succumb to panic in the face of his increasingly unhinged threats." 

Don't worry, it gets even better/worse . . . 

A Pulitzer Prize winning columnist based in Kansas City pushes for more Epstein accountability from Republicans and seems to forget that she's living in the heart of red state MAGA country wherein this crisis isn't moving the dial much and even a local biz dude didn't garner any real heat for his passing connection to the long-gone creep . . . Still, here's the progressive condemnation . . .   

"MAGA was right to push for the release of these files for all those years. And now that Trump no longer agrees with his own supporters?

"In December, a YouGov/Economist poll found that less than half of MAGA Republicans, 46%, strongly approved of his handling of this issue. Given how completely he’s sold them out, that number should be far lower."

And so we open the question to our most dedicated weekend denizens of the cowtown political discourse: 

IS MAGA DOOMED TO MIDTERM DEFEAT OR HAS PROGRESSIVE RESISTANCE PEAKED PREMATURELY?!?
