Kansas City Political Operator Stuck In Mexico Amid Cartel Fighting

To be fair, the last man standing of all the old school Kansas City political consultants, Pat O'Neill has been pretending to be retired from local politics for the last 5 election cycles even if insiders always notice him at all the best local fundraising parties.

He recently shared this tidbit about Mexican fighting ruining his fun times in much the same way that it does during most of his KCMO 4th District adventures . . .

Pat O’Neill and his wife are celebrating 55 years of marriage. Staying three miles from Puerto Vallarta, their vacation took a drastic turn after the Mexican army killed a major cartel leader, putting the popular vacation spot under siege.

“It’s eerie,” O’Neill said. “The highway that goes into town in front of our place is empty, it’s closed.”
