Kansas City Politely Ignores Mayor Pro Tem Parks-Shaw Fed Probe

The waiting is the hardest part and it's getting painful. 

For now . . .

Every local newsy and politico must dutifully keep quiet on the off-chance that a top 12th & Oak politico beats the case and dances on downtown streets like a former council lady did not so long ago. 

But we all know . . . 

Constituents and critics have been ON-RECORD about the inherent conflict confronting Parks-Shaw as the Mayor Pro-Tem & Council lady with a husband as Public Works Director.

But again . . . Everyone seems to understand it goes deeper than that . . . 

In fact . . .

EVERY COUNCIL MEMBER FOR THE PAST HALF DECADE HAS CRINGE STORIES ABOUT PARKS-SHAW THAT THEY'RE NOT GOING TO SHARE ON RECORD!!!

So many tales regarding the council lady's "adventures" are possibly the worst kept secret in Kansas City politics.

But maybe the feds aren't policing "cringe" as we move toward the midterms.  

And we're not just being cheeky vauge-posters . . . 

And so .  . . 

Goof ball junkets and other public receipts that citizen journalists keep posting online don't even begin to scratch the surface. 

But nobody wants to go to court including TKC . . . And that's why KCMO is forced to be pathologically polite yet again until the next shoe drops OR . . . She becomes Mayor of KC and makes "history" that nobody will REALLY celebrate . . . 

In the meantime . . . 

And in fairness . . . Here's a few more stories worth reading and her recent statement as the drama plays out:  

“Yesterday I was made aware of recent headlines containing egregious and misleading accusations designed to generate attention rather than inform the public,” Parks-Shaw said.

Five current and former employees tell FOX4 their FBI interviews all focused on the same line of questioning: whether the mayor pro tem and her husband used their combined authority for financial or professional gain.
