Kansas City, Kansas Moves Forward With ICE Jail Moratorium

Following the lead of KCMO in a politically-charged move that MIGHT NOT stand up to a challenge from the feds but will prove costly to defend in court . . . Check-it: 

"Proposed by Third District Commissioner Christian Ramirez last month, (the ordinance) would put a moratorium on applications for permits to establish a correctional facility if approved. The item will go before the county’s Planning Commission during a Monday evening meeting."
