“The threat is there whether it’s nuclear or not. Iran in its current situation with the current regime in place is not a friend to pretty much anyone but the Houthis and maybe Hezbollah, the remnants that exist there. And of course, the remnants of Hamas, which is slowly dying out or giving up there in Gaza,” Alford said.

“I don’t see any way out of this without removing the head of the snake,” he added.
