Fed Investigation Narrows Field For New Kansas City Mayor?!?

Sorry, we have to admit that the Mayor Pro Tem seemed to be leading the contest in the early rounds. Now, things have obviously changed . . .

What some might call "recent events" seem to have pushed Council Dude Crispin into the lead BUT there's a citywide progressive push to elect the first African-American female to the role and that outcry might hit a crescendo amid the next election cycle.  

Here's a recent news passage that offers a bit more insight . . .  

"The mayor pro tem – who has already announced she’s running for mayor – and her husband, the current public works director, are under the microscope.

"All of the people we spoke with are current or former city employees who fear retaliation that could affect their careers."
