Country Club Plaza Cooked: InterContinental Kansas City Defaults

So . . . This is the reality that locals should probably understand . . .

NEW OWNERSHIP ISN'T GOING TO SAVE THE PLAZA, THEY'RE JUST WATCHING IT BURN & THAT SEEMS TO BE THE PLAN!!!

As we've noted previously . . .

The goal for the plaza urban "density" by way of corporate takeover, the goal is PUBLIC HOUSING . . . This is why Lockton bailed and this is why nearby residents seem to be leaving and that includes a former council lady for the district who gave up on her longtime residence.

Special thanks to BEST & BRIGHTEST READERS who sent this note our way when so many other local media outlets are downplaying what is the worst real estate news of the year so far . . .

"The InterContinental Kansas City at the Plaza missed the maturity date for $62.1 million in unpaid loan principal, prompting a trustee to file for receivership in Jackson County Circuit Court."
