CoreCivic Suffers Permit Setback After Court Ruling

A legal fight over an ICE jail continues . . . Here's today's update . . . 

CoreCivic’s attorneys argued the company does not need a special use permit to operate. The company maintains it never abandoned the site, so a new permit is unnecessary.

The city said its code is clear. If a facility doesn’t hold detainees for a year, it must reapply for permits.
