Members of Missouri’s congressional delegation are sounding off on the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling striking down many of President Trump’s tariffs, which included those imposed on China.
Democrat Emanuel Cleaver of Kansas City calls it a great day for Missouri’s farmers.
“China buys a whopping $24 billion every year, $24 billion,” Cleaver said. “A big chunk of that goes to Missouri farmers.”
China halted U.S. soybean purchases for several months last year, including soybeans grown in Missouri.
