AI Threatens 59,042 Kansas City Jorbs

New numbers on a tech crisis confronting Kansas City.

An important caveat . . .

So far, what we've seen is so many employers using AI as a convenient excuse for cost cutting and layoffs of real life workers who aren't be replaced by machines at all.

In the meantime . . . Here's what a biz journal bot wrote . . .  

"Based on research from the National Bureau of Economic Research and the Brookings Institution, over 59,000 jobs (approximately 59,042) in the Kansas City metropolitan area are considered highly vulnerable to AI disruption. 

"This figure represents about 4.92% of the total workforce in the Kansas City area, a rate higher than the national average of 3.9% for highly vulnerable positions."
