Justice Horn for Jackson County’s Campaign Responds to Fraudulent Mailer Sent to Thousands of Voters in Kansas City, Missouri
Thousands of voters across the county—specifically in Kansas City—recently received a mailer containing a fabricated “police report” falsely accusing Justice Horn of assaulting a minor. The mailer was distributed by a group calling itself “Integrity in Missouri.” The allegations are completely false.
Justice Horn immediately contacted the Blue Springs Police Department today. The department has made it clear that no such police report exists in its records and has confirmed it is actively investigating the origin and distribution of the fraudulent document, including its apparent connection to the website aboutjusticehorn.com.
The campaign also contacted the Missouri Ethics Commission, which confirmed that no political entity named “Integrity in Missouri” is registered in the state of Missouri. Under Missouri law, all campaign committees—including PACs—must be registered. The Commission is now reviewing the situation as well.
Additionally, the campaign has reached out to the Missouri Attorney General’s Office regarding what appears to be large-scale political activity operating in Missouri without proper disclosure or identification. Given the deceptive nature of the mailer, the matter may also raise consumer protection concerns.
“This is a deliberate and cowardly attempt to mislead voters with fabricated documents and outright lies,” Horn said. “Law enforcement has confirmed that no such report exists. While we’ve been knocking doors and talking about the real issues facing Kansas City families, someone else chose to hide behind a fake organization and stuff envelopes with smears. If you want to run for office, put your name on it. Do it the right way. We will not be intimidated, and we will not be distracted.” The campaign emphasized that it remains focused on voter engagement, accountability, and running a transparent campaign rooted in integrity. Every resident, in all 18 cities and towns can vote in this race and we are going to keep our focus there.
