This time around . . . National politics continues to influence Sunflower State politics . . .
All statewide elected offices will be on the ballot — governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, secretary of state, state treasurer and insurance commissioner.
Monday will also be the day to watch for campaign finance filings. The first big campaign finance deadline of the election cycle was Saturday. While the statutory deadline is Jan. 10, the Kansas Public Disclosure Commission is closed over the weekend, and officials said the reports will still be accepted on Jan. 12 and won't be considered late.
Tuesday features two major speeches.
Gov. Laura Kelly will deliver her last State of the State address at 6:30 p.m.
