Walls Closing In On Kansas City Royals 2026

One of our BEST & BRIGHTEST TKC READERS sends this message our way regarding baseball deets: 

So they post about how great the K is (but need a new stadium...)

A reasonable person might believe that they "need" a new stadium for luxury boxes if they would just build it where Arrowhead now sits. Or somewhere at Truman Sports Complex.
 

Meanwhile . . . 

WE NOTICE JUST ABOUT EVERYBODY IN THE METRO LOSING PATIENCE WITH THE HOME TEAM!!!

More thoughtful denizens of our community think this might be a gambit as well . . . That could just be another "strategy" that could justify a move to Nashville or, even better, Salt Lake City.

Here's today's note regarding the doomed K . . . Check-it: 

The Kansas City Royals announced on Tuesday  that, after discussing the possibility for years, the club will bring in the outfield wall at Kauffman Stadium ahead of the 2026 season.

“We just want a fair ballpark. We’re not looking for something where it becomes really offensive and every ball that goes up in the air becomes a home run. We want it to be very fair so when our players -- when they are playing at home, when they are playing on the road -- that it’s the same approach,” said Royals general manager J.J. Picollo.
