Maybe one of the worst moves we've seen from City Hall in months that's meeting with a great deal of resistance . . .

"The city council voted to relocate the jail project to a site near the current temporary jail off Front Street. Mayor Quinton Lucas said the decision came after the city had until next week to close a deal with the county for the original location at I-70 and 40 Highway.
"Lucas said the original site would have cost the city roughly $25 million more because it’s on a flood plain. The city owns the Front Street site, where the temporary jail is currently being built by the city’s tow lot."
