"The mayor claims victory for the reduction of homicides.  In 2025 to 138 from 145 in 2024.  The rest of the country had a 25% decrease from 2019, Kansas City homicides in 2019 were 153, Kansas City should have had a reduction to 115, that would be 25% reduction.  The reduction to 138 is no victory."
