Stabbing Kills Victim In Gardner, Kansas: Rural Violence Rising?!?

This year we've noticed more tragedy in the suburbs and the sticks . . . And so we ask . . .

Sadly, there's always a demographic blame game when we talk about crime . . . However . . . 

We'd like readers to consider the psychological and emotional state of our neighbors as everything about life in the U.S. has become more oppressive, divisive, contentious and complex . . . Even for those trying to hide from reality away from population centers. 

Either way . . . Here are the deets of a recent report . . .   

According to the Gardner Police Department, around 1:46 a.m. on Jan. 1, officers were called to the 16900 block of Walter Street on a reported disturbance. When they arrived, they found a victim who had been stabbed and later died of his injuries.

The victim’s identity has not been released.

GPD said that a suspect was taken into custody, and there is no threat to other Gardner residents.
